Overlanding takes many forms. It encompasses everything from car camping in a roof top tent, to the largest 6 wheeled trucks made for off road travel. It all depends on how comfortable you want to be. When it comes to interior space, nothing compares to the former military M1087 expanding shelter known as Bantha. The name comes from the woolly mammoth looking creature from the Star Wars movie franchise. Like the movie character, the M1087 is huge, and slow, but fiercely loyal, and able to go anywhere. The rugged military look on the exterior has been preserved, but the inside has been transformed into a somewhat industrial, but otherwise luxurious interior.
